That was the beginning

PAINTINGS is an idea launched back on 1997 from Mr. Verykakis Nicolas and its objective was to facilitate the choice of colours for the customers of his shop.

The solution till then was mix and match many color variations, in small amounts, after the implementation of which the customer chose the most appropriate. This is a solution which is still in use until today.

A PROBLEM SEEKS ITS SOLUTION

A complicated and time-consuming process with an uncertain outcome

The problem with this method was the failure to achieve the proper color selection, because the end result was often not satisfactory. Also, this was a fairly lengthy process both for the customer and for the shop. Moreover, the cost of these applications high.

Eventually, the customer confused by the whole process often was taking an uncertain decision, which was simply the least worst.

THE ORIGINAL IDEA TAKES SHAPE AND FORM

The original concept was to allow the customer to see the building in colour before starting painting. This original idea seemed unachievable and rather irrational.

Like many ideas that in their early stages, seem irrational, later, with proper support they produce a desirable result that improves the original idea from which the whole effort stems. Ultimately all this effort combined with the support from people who believe in it, resulted in the realization of the original vision.

Still in the experimental stage, the whole project received unexpectedly positive acceptance from our customers, giving us the motivation needed to continue and succeed. We provided a solution in the problem of indecisiveness, a solution that helped significantly everyone involved in the color casting process (paint-shops, home owners, architects, decorators, etc.) who can now see different color schemes and choose the right one. The ongoing need for these services, led to the development and expansion of the company's business in the rest of Greece via the internet.
